Laser gum reshaping
and porcelain veneers

Karen: Karen
presented with a common situation that we see among many people
seeking smile makeovers. Her teeth were crooked, she had some
spaces or gaps and she did not like the color. After examination,
Dr. Canto also noted that Karen had what is called a reverse
smileline. A great smile should follow the curve of the lower
lip and fill in the space surrounded by the lips or what we
call the buccal corridor. This is what gives those full “Hollywood”
smiles to the stars. Dr. Canto first spent the time to get
to know Karen’s desires and evaluate her personality
traits, facial structures and simply connect with her to successfully
design the smile that would fit Karen individually. After
minor Laser gum reshaping to ensure the best results, Dr.
Canto prepared the 8 upper teeth for porcelain veneers. On
the day of preparation our patients leave with gorgeous, hand
sculpted temporaries made by Dr. Canto, that simulate what
the final veneers will look like. Karen was so excited to
look incredible the same day of treatment and that she could
“test drive” her new smile. Once the veneers were
skillfully and artistically made by one of our Master Ceramists
(please see information regarding our laboratory
team), Dr. Canto bonded the veneers with top materials
for greatest success. By straightening, lengthening and whitening
her smile with porcelain veneers, Karen now enjoys the radiant
smile that truly fits her age and personality.
