Rosa:
Rosa presented with lovely, happy eyes,
a beautiful face and teeth that just didn’t match. After
examination, Dr. Canto, with Rosa’s involvement, determined
some of the objections to her smile that she would correct.
The most obvious issue was that Rosa had what is termed “an
anterior open bite”. What that means is that when she
closed her teeth together the front teeth would not meet,
due to a reverse curve orientation of the teeth, leaving an
unattractive gap between her top and bottom teeth when she
smiled. She also had gaps, a rotated tooth and larger fillings
in the four front teeth leading Dr. Canto to determine the
makeover would require full porcelain crowns. Rosa wanted
to stay as conservative as possible therefore the smile transformation
was accomplished with just involvement of the 4 teeth. After
completion of our periodontal health preparation program with
our expert hygiene team, Rosa’s new smile was underway.
Dr. Canto first accomplished great gum contours using the
painless Waterlase Laser for the gumlift and then prepared
the four upper teeth for full porcelain crowns. When Rosa
saw her custom temporaries she couldn’t believe that
the real crowns could possibly be better but they were! As
you see…Rosa had the great lips to frame the beautiful
smile portrait Dr. Canto created.
