About “Lumineers” & Low-Prep Veneers
Lumineers are considered “less invasive” than traditional porcelain veneers, which means they they do not require extensive removal of the existing tooth structure when compared to other procedures. However, because Lumineers are applied over your existing tooth structure, they are less translucent (natural looking) as a traditional porcelain veneer, or a direct bonded veneer.
Dr. Canto prefers a conservative approach that maintains as much of your natural tooth structure as possible when operating. She will discuss with you all your treatment options including dental bonding, to see if even less invasive options would be a better fit for you. Dr. Canto wants to make sure that her patients will always have the right fit before beginning with procedures. Ensuring Lumineers will fit for you will always be Dr. Canto’s top priority for her patients.
