Making Same Day Dentistry a Reality with CEREC

Same Day Dentistry: Crowns, Onlays & Inlays

Our Ceramic Reconstruction (CEREC) machine is a workhorse here at Cosmetic Dentists of Houston. Its computer-aided scanning and milling capabilities is what allows us to create full porcelain crowns, onlays and inlays in one single visit, right here in the office while you wait.

Using 3D imaging, we’re able to make a virtual model of your teeth and custom-fit a ceramic dental restoration specifically for your mouth. The crown is milled in our office while you wait and put in place before you leave. No more gross gunk needed to make an impression, no more temporary crowns, fewer injections, and no more follow up visits between your fitting and the crown’s placement. With CEREC, it’s all digital and it’s all done in house in the same visit.

CEREC uses metal-free, tooth-colored ceramic for a natural look and restored strength and function. The restoration is bonded directly to your tooth, so healthy tissue can be preserved. The milling process offers the highest level of precision, ensuring that surfaces are smooth and edges are even.

There are many advantages to same day ceramic crowns, onlays, and inlays including:

  • Convenience – Less time in the chair & a new smile in just one visit
  • Precision – Digital impressions make the custom-fit even more precise
  • Health – Metal-free material lowers the chances of an allergic reaction
  • Natural Appearance – Tooth-colored ceramic blends with your teeth for a natural smile
  • Preservation – Less tooth filing means conserving more healthy tooth tissue
  • Eco-Friendliness – Environmentally friendly materials & fewer materials used

Same day dentistry takes the hassle out of routine dental work such as crowns, onlays, and inlays. At Cosmetic Dentists of Houston, we strive to make your dental visits something to look forward to, rather than something to dread.

Meet Dr. Daniel Escobedo

Dr. Daniel Escobedo has been providing expert dental care here in Houston for nearly a decade. Cosmetic Dentists of Houston is thrilled to have him on our team as our first full-time in-network dentist! With this addition, we have expanded both our general dentistry services and our ability to offer our services to patients with dental insurance.

Dr. Daniel Escobedo: Childhood

Dr. Escobedo grew up in Corpus Christi, the middle son of parents who stressed the importance of education to all three of their children. From an early age, the Escobedo children were taught that dedication is the key to success. Dr. Escobedo and his siblings were encouraged to look to Dr. Hector P. Garcia, an affluent leader in the community, as a role model. Dr. Garcia’s motto “Education is our Freedom, and Freedom Should be Everybody’s Business,” became Dr. Escobedo’s mantra. That mantra helped motivate him to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, a successful pharmacist. His younger sister is continuing the family tradition of excellence in pharmacy school. Dr. Escobedo gives all credit for his work ethic to his parents, whose countless hours of work and sacrifice made education for him and his siblings possible.

Dr. Escobedo attended Texas A&M Corpus Christi and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology. During that time, he was a part of the Alpha Epsilon Delta honor society and Beta Theta Pi social fraternity. He also helped establish the first pre-dental society at TAMUCC. After graduation, Dr. Escobedo moved to Dallas to attend Baylor College of Dentistry. He met his lovely wife, Sara, at Baylor and together, they graduated dental school in 2010.

Personal Life

Dr. Escobedo and Sara married in San Antonio, Texas in February 2011. As newlyweds, they moved to Houston with their Siberian Husky, Otto. They both practice dentistry in the greater Houston area. In Dr. Escobedo’s free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and taking Otto for walks around Memorial Park. Dr. Escobedo also loves being outdoors, boating, and sports in general. He is an avid fisherman of the Gulf Coast waters.

Memberships & Continuing Education

Dr. Escobedo started a BCD Alumni Study Group with his colleagues and is also a current board member of the Houston Hispanic Dental Association. He is also a member of the prestigious SPEAR Study Club, where he and Dr. Canto and other top dentists and specialists expand their skills to provide the best care for their patients.  He takes extensive continuing education courses to stay current with today’s dental advancements. His love for knowledge and constant learning is what sets him apart and makes him a great fit for Cosmetic Dentists of Houston. SPEAR study club continuing eduction program  Dr. Daniel Escobedo American Dental Association Continuing Education logo
